Breathing is a guided-breathing app, available as a web app at breathing.dev and as an iOS and Android app. All are built on the same principle: they collect no data about you.
What we collect
Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party frameworks. We do not collect, store or share any personal data.
What stays on your device
Your settings — chosen profile, durations, sound, colour, language and appearance — are stored only on your own device: in your browser's local storage (web) or in the app's local preferences (iOS and Android). They never leave your device, and deleting the app or clearing your browser data removes them completely.
The iOS and Android apps
The apps make no network connections at all — the Android app does not even request the internet permission, so the operating system enforces this. Sounds play and are synthesized on the device, haptics run on the device, and nothing is ever transmitted. The Android app uses the proximity sensor only to darken the screen while the phone rests in your pocket during a session; that reading is never stored. Neither app accesses your microphone, camera, contacts, location, photos or health data.
The web app
The web app consists of static files served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare briefly processes technical request data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages; we do not receive, store or analyse that data. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties.

Breathing is een app voor begeleide ademhaling, beschikbaar als web-app op breathing.dev en als iOS- en Android-app. Alle drie zijn op hetzelfde principe gebouwd: ze verzamelen geen gegevens over jou.
Wat we verzamelen
Niets. Er zijn geen accounts, geen analytics, geen advertenties, geen tracking en geen frameworks van derden. We verzamelen, bewaren en delen geen enkel persoonsgegeven.
Wat op je toestel blijft
Je instellingen — gekozen profiel, duren, geluid, kleur, taal en weergave — staan alleen op je eigen toestel: in de lokale opslag van je browser (web) of in de lokale voorkeuren van de app (iOS en Android). Ze verlaten je toestel nooit; de app verwijderen of je browserdata wissen haalt ze volledig weg.
De iOS- en Android-app
De apps maken helemaal geen netwerkverbindingen — de Android-app vraagt de internettoestemming niet eens aan, dus het besturingssysteem dwingt dit af. De klanken spelen en worden op het toestel gesynthetiseerd, het trillen gebeurt op het toestel, en er wordt nooit iets verstuurd. De Android-app gebruikt de nabijheidssensor alleen om het scherm te doven terwijl de telefoon tijdens een sessie in je zak rust; die meting wordt nooit bewaard. Geen van de apps gebruikt microfoon, camera, contacten, locatie, foto's of gezondheidsgegevens.
De web-app
De web-app bestaat uit statische bestanden, geleverd door Cloudflare Pages. Zoals elke webserver verwerkt Cloudflare kortstondig technische verzoekgegevens (zoals je IP-adres) om de pagina's te bezorgen; wij ontvangen, bewaren of analyseren die gegevens niet. De site zet geen cookies en laadt niets van derden.
